Spiced Chicken Wangs


  • 1.5 kg of chicken wings

  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

  • 2 teaspoons sea salt

  • ¼ teaspoon pepper

  • 1 and a ½ teaspoons garlic powder

  • 1 and a ½ teaspoons onion powder

  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 1 teaspoon curry powder

  • 1 teaspoon cumin

  • ½ teaspoon cayenne

  • Optional: Chives


  1. Preheat oven to 200°C

  2. In a bowl, combine all of the salt, pepper, herbs and spices, and mix thoroughly

  3. Coat the chicken wings in the olive oil, then transfer the wings into the mixed spices and toss to coat the wings completely (get ya hands dirty!)

  4. Place the chickens onto a wire oven rack with a tray underneath to catch any fat as they cook

  5. Bake for around 25-30-minutes, or until cooked through

  6. Serve sprinkled with some chives, and alongside some dipping sauce (I mixed together some Greek yoghurt, squeeze of lemon, minced garlic, with a sprinkle of onion powder, cumin, salt & pepper)
